How It Works

A simple, structured way to make sense of what you’re seeing—and decide what to do next.

We Start with What You’re Already Seeing

Patterns, questions, or situations that don’t quite make sense.

We Make Sense of It Together

Connecting the pieces and turning what you’re seeing into something clear—and usable.

We Identify Clear Next Steps

Sometimes this happens in a single conversation.

Other times, it’s something we build over time as things evolve.

What Working Together Can Look Like

Most families choose a level of support based on what’s actually happening in real time.

Ongoing Support

MOST COMMON

A consistent space to think, adjust, and respond as things unfold in real time.

• Weekly or biweekly sessions
• Between-session check-ins when needed
• Asynchronous support (text/email/voice) for quick decisions or communication

This allows us to stay close to what’s actually happening, rather than trying to solve everything all at once.

Focused Support

A single session, short series, or deep dive for a specific situation or decision.

Some families start here. Others move into ongoing support once things start to unfold.

What This Work Feels Like

Focused, collaborative, and practical.

This isn’t therapy or an open-ended process. It’s a space to step back, think clearly, and make decisions you feel confident in.

Most parents come in with a lot of information but no clear way to use it.

By the end, things usually feel more organized with a clearer way to move forward.

You don’t need a full picture, just a starting point.

Logistics

Format: Virtual (Zoom) or in-person at a Hennepin County library

Session length: 45–60 minutes (with longer options available)

Before we meet: You’ll share a brief overview so we can use our time well.

Ongoing work: We decide the right level of support together, based on what you need—not a fixed structure or package.

Most families start with a single session, then move into ongoing support if it fits what they need.

Over Time, Families Often Notice

A clearer understanding of what’s going on

More confidence in how to respond

Less second-guessing across decisions

A way of thinking about their child that actually fits their child

That’s It

A steady thinking partner

Clearer decisions

Support that adapts as things change

Nothing extra—nothing ongoing unless it’s useful

Just clarity you can use

You don’t need to have everything organized before we start.

This process is designed to meet you where you are and focus on what will make a difference right now.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Small, clear decisions lead to meaningful change.

Take the next step

A focused conversation to help you make sense of what’s going on—and what to do next.

You don’t need everything figured out before you reach out.
