Working Agreement

This outlines how we’ll work together—what to expect, what’s included, and how decisions are made.

Nature of Services

I provide parent strategy consulting focused on helping you make sense of complex situations and decide what to do next. This work is collaborative, practical, and focused on supporting you in responding effectively to what’s happening in your child’s life.

Scope of Services

This service is not therapy, mental health treatment, psychological assessment, or diagnosis. It does not include crisis support, clinical documentation, or representation in school or legal settings.

If at any point a need arises that falls outside the scope of this work, I may recommend other appropriate supports.

This service does not replace professional, medical, or therapeutic care.

Client Responsibility

You remain the decision-maker in all situations. My role is to help you think clearly, consider options, and identify next steps. How those insights are used is ultimately your choice and responsibility.

Scheduling, Payment, and Cancellations

All sessions are paid for at the time of booking.

Appointments may be rescheduled or canceled with at least 24 hours notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice, as well as missed appointments, are not eligible for refund.

Ongoing Support

Ongoing support is structured as a monthly service and includes regular sessions, with flexibility based on what’s needed as situations evolve.

This includes both scheduled sessions and access to limited between-session support via asynchronous communication.

Usage of time may vary from month to month depending on what is most helpful, rather than following a fixed weekly structure.

The goal is to stay responsive to what’s actually happening, without creating unnecessary structure.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle. You will receive a reminder prior to renewal and may cancel before the next billing cycle if you do not wish to continue.

Between-Session Communication

Between-session communication varies depending on the type of service.

For clients engaging in focused support (single sessions or packages), communication is limited to scheduling and brief clarifications related to an upcoming session.

For clients enrolled in ongoing support, between-session communication is available via email, text, or voice message for brief updates, quick questions, or help thinking through specific decisions as situations arise.

This communication is not intended for ongoing or in-depth conversation between sessions. Responses are provided within a reasonable timeframe and are not in real time.

Between-session communication should not be used for urgent or crisis situations.

Confidentiality

Our conversations are kept private and will not be shared without your permission, except where required by law or where there is concern for safety.

Fit and Discontinuation

This work depends on a strong fit and shared understanding of the process. Either of us may choose to discontinue at any time.

By booking a session with Northstar Stewardship LLC, you confirm that you’ve reviewed and agree to this Working Agreement.

Session Format and Location

Sessions may take place either virtually (via Zoom) or in person at a Hennepin County library.

For in-person sessions, meetings are held in reserved public meeting rooms. While these spaces are generally quiet and private, they are located within a public setting.

I will coordinate room reservations and follow up with location details after booking.
